ASU's Advanced Nursing Practice DNP uses a location-specific clinical placement process. Students completing required experiences outside Maricopa County identify the needed site and preceptor. Edson must review and approve the proposed Pennsylvania arrangement before the student starts clinical work.
Placements within Maricopa County are assigned under the current Edson process, with exceptions determined by Edson. That assignment model does not extend to Pennsylvania. Students should confirm current submission dates, required documents, affiliation steps, and concentration rules with Edson for the intended term.

Students should verify the current sequence and eligible settings in their program of study and catalog.
Hour totals and setting requirements for other concentrations vary. An FNP learner may need broad primary care exposure across ages, while PMHNP, adult-gerontology, and women's health courses call for their own patient populations and qualified supervision. One Pennsylvania site may cover only part of the plan.
The program is hybrid and includes required Phoenix activities. It is not fully online. Build Phoenix travel, Pennsylvania clinical shifts, onboarding deadlines, and possible changes between preceptors into one calendar before accepting a schedule.
