ASU's Advanced Nursing Practice DNP assigns placement responsibilities based on location. Students completing required clinical experiences outside Maricopa County identify their own sites and preceptors. Edson reviews and must approve the proposed South Carolina placement before clinical work starts.
Clinical placements in Maricopa County are assigned under the current Edson process, with exceptions determined by Edson. That policy does not assign a South Carolina site. Confirm the current submission workflow, documents, deadlines, and concentration-specific requirements for the relevant term.

The current FNP plan totals up to 1,125 clinical and residency hours, including 585 specialty practicum hours. Students should confirm current sequencing in the program of study and catalog.
Other concentrations have different totals and setting expectations. Match the South Carolina patient population and preceptor certification to the specific course. A broad family practice can be valuable for FNP preparation, while psychiatric, women's health, and adult-gerontology experiences need appropriately focused care.
